The sound of the DP408 bears a strong resemblance to the Virtual Vintage 54. It's very balanced and even over a wide frequency range (think smooth high strings and clean lows).This is a good prescription for a versatile middle pickup and it's also a really sweet neck pickup, particularly in bright-sounding maple neck guitars Alnico 2 magnets.
